Why am i always sleepy???

angelshill after last night's quite long rant, i have nothing much to say today, considering the fact that it's only been just a day...
this was inspired by... actually, i don't know what inspired this one... it just came to my mind after i finished posting The Question yesterday...
oh, and yeah, i want to point out that i am in no way implying that there is an animosity between the two involved members in this fic... my point is that while they may consider the other as an opponent, in one way or the other, they still are friends... really good friends...
TITLE: Reading (and Writing) Between the Lines
CHARACTERS: Ninomiya Kazunari, Matsumoto Jun, Nagasawa Masami, Inoue Mao
PAIRING: Nino/Masami, Jun/Mao

DISCLAIMER: The only thing i own in this story is the plot...
SUMMARY: Aiba decided that Arashi should write a letter to each other... Nino had a harder time making one for their youngest member...
Nino sighed, rubbing his temple for the nth time that night as he looked over the finished letter he’d been working on for over two hours now.
It would and could easily be considered out of character, him spending his time writing a letter when he could and should be spending that time playing games, perfecting his magic, or, more sensibly, sleeping. Unfortunately, Aiba had come up with something during their debut anniversary that he says is in the interest of further improving Arashi’s inter-group relationship, that each of them write a letter to one another to say the expressed and/or unexpressed feelings and thoughts they have for one another. Even more unfortunately, both Ohno and Sho agreed to the idea, although Ohno suspiciously did not seem aware of the idea that he was agreeing to, despite the fact that he and Jun objected, which meant they are outnumbered and out-ruled.
The only ray of sunshine he saw in the whole situation, which, in all honesty, he had quite a hard time seeing, was that the deadline for the exchanging of the letters was set a month after the anniversary, to give them ample time to make four letters amidst their increasingly busy schedule. Unfortunately for him, that deadline is already tomorrow.
It wasn’t really that difficult for him, writing a letter, even considering the fact that he had decided to do the letter seriously and un-bratty-ly, to really express his feelings for the four guys who’ve been both brother and friend to him over the years. He had actually finished writing the final letters he’d give to Ohno, Sho, and Aiba, all three already tucked neatly in an envelope that had their respective names. It was the letter to Jun that was giving him trouble.
He actually followed Aiba’s words, to write from his heart, when he wrote all the letters but it wasn’t what was taking him so long and giving him so much headache. Because it was after he wrote his letter to their youngest and read over it, and decided that that letter wouldn’t do and decided to rewrite it, did it really become difficult for him.
It is with another sigh that he looked over his edited, re-edited, and re-re-edited letter for the nth time.
Dear Jun-pon,
First off, I want to say that I hate the fact that Aiba-chan has come up with another ridiculous idea that has robbed from us part of our precious free time. And I hate the fact that both Ohchan and Sho-chan had agreed with this ridiculous idea. Don’t get me wrong though, I do not hate the three elders. I love them and you and Arashi as much as Aiba does when he starts gushing how much he loves Arashi after concerts, performances, or when he drinks too much alcohol (which would amount to at least three times a week and at most, daily).
And since Aiba-chan did say that we should express our expressed and unexpressed feelings, here goes…
I hate the fact that you got to star with Masami-chan, not only once, but twice, and that you even got to kiss her onscreen. Thank you for taking care of MY Masami during those two times that you worked with her. I hate it that for quite a while, she wouldn’t stop gushing about how nice you are on and off set, and that she still brings that out every once in a while. I hate it that she tells ME how dazzling and captivating you are even when there’s just the two of us (and should be doing or talking about something else other than you). She would always tell me how nice you were to her during those times that you two are working together, and even when she just meets you somewhere. And that you were one of the nicest on-screen partners she ever had.
I also hate the fact that you’ve managed to co-star and actually have some of my crushes as your leading ladies! Seriously! Could you just please give me a list of your showbiz crushes so that I can find a way to work with them too? Because you know, it does get quite annoying when you keep on seeing someone acting all lovey-dovey with your showbiz crushes even if it’s just a crush and even if it’s on the script. Especially when you know that he’s the boyfriend of one of your showbiz crushes already… Really, give me just one name (of your showbiz crush) and I’d do my utmost to make you feel how I felt watching you through all those years with Mao-chan, and just recently, with Takeuchi-san. I know I’ve told you this before too, but congratulations! You have now managed to co-star in a romantic series with two of my biggest showbiz crushes! You really are lucky, you know… But it’s all good for me… And I want to say thank you too, for asking me to guest in that latest series of yours with Takeuchi-san… I really enjoyed having to have worked with her, even for just a bit… Oh, and you too, of course… (But, really, it’s mostly her… :D)
Also, I’m annoyed by the fact that you’re taller than me even if you’re a few months younger. That and the fact that Masami-chan can just mention your name and I’d be jealous to the bones, even if I know that she’s just pulling my leg and that you love Mao-chan to death. I hope things are going on well in your life and with Mao-chan too. I have to say, this year would most probably the most calm version of you that I’ve seen in recent years. It’s a bit refreshing, and nice to see (but is kind of weird… :D).
Other than that, it’s all good…
Oh, and thank you for always being Arashi’s idea man…
He couldn’t help but heave a grateful (and hopefully, final) sigh, finally content of what the letter contains, as he extracted a piece of clean sheet of paper to write the final edited version. It wasn’t as brutal and blatant as its original version but it wasn’t a lie either. It was the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. It’s just that it’s written in a lighter, tamer context.

There was a really happy smile on Aiba’s lips as he watched them exchange letters the moment they all gathered at the greenroom an hour earlier than their normal schedule. Judging by how colorful (and big) the letter he received from him, Nino knew that Aiba had placed his all on the letter he made for all of them.
There was still a huge smile on their animal-lover’s lips when they all retreated to their unspoken but designated spots at the greenroom, first to pretend to do their normal stuff, but later succumbing to curiosity of what the others had written.
He had intentionally chosen Jun’s letter to be the last one he’d read which is why he’s already in a mix of laughter, amusement, amazement, and plain disbelief by the time he opened the letter that was addressed: To Arashi’s resident magician and gamer.

She always tells me that you’ve been really kind to her, nice and playful, in front and behind the camera.
She told me that during those two days, you always took care of her, made sure that she was all right on set, despite the fact that you are sure to be tired already. She told me that you two always ended up playing games together and against each other during your breaks, just so you could help her ease in to the set.
And while I know that you would still have done it to anyone else, I would like to thank you, for being like that to MY girl.
As for the Arashi matters, congratulations for surviving what could be one of your most tiring year yet. And thank you, for giving your all to Arashi.

He stopped himself in time though, but when he looked up and saw that their youngest is looking at him with the same incredulous, amazed, and amused look he feels, he couldn’t stop himself from smiling. A smile that Jun returned.
Aiba often does say that he and Jun have the most things in common out of all of Arashi, although Aiba would probably have been talking within the context that he and Jun are the leaders in going against his ideas and the first ones to hit him whenever he comes up with something stupid or ridiculous, or both. But Aiba is most probably right, he and Jun had a lot more in common than they thought.
Because judging by the grin Jun has on, he was able to read between the lines he wrote in the final version of his letter to him, he was able to see the crossed out lines. By all intents and purposes, he most probably have figured out what would most likely be in the original letter he wrote just like what he’s seen on his.
And for all intents and purposes, Aiba might actually be right in saying that it would improve their inter-group relationships. Now he and Jun are both aware that they have almost similar feelings towards each other. And that makes them even.

for me, they are friends and brothers... and while friends and brothers do have disagreements once in a while, they still love each other...
