Author's Notes: this just popped into my head…

The moment Matsumoto Jun entered his apartment, he realized that something was off.

There were no sounds coming from inside the room, no voices from the tv, no sounds from the radio, no random singing, no sounds of attempting to cook from the kitchen. No anything at all.

For someone who lives alone in his apartment, it should be considered a normal situation, but not to him. Not when every sign of the presence of another person is visible.

Something was way off.

“She couldn’t have fallen asleep already…” he thought to himself as he removed his boots and placed it neatly to the side.

He knew she’d been really busy lately that she hadn’t had that much of rest but she was the one who told him she’d be over tonight. And as sympathetic as he can be of the situation, something he’s almost always in, he had to admit that he’s just a tiny bit moody about the fact that they haven’t spent as much quality time together as he’d want to for the past weeks. However, he knew that the body should not be stretched to the limit.

Expecting a sleeping Inoue Mao on his sofa when he entered the living room, he was taken aback by the sight that greeted him.

Mao was indeed on his sofa. But she wasn’t asleep. She was glaring at the blank screen of his tv, the remote held a little bit too tightly in her hands.

“Mao? Daijoubo?” he anxiously asked as he walked towards her only to be stopped momentarily when the glare the blank screen was receiving was suddenly transferred to him.

Before he can react, Mao suddenly slammed the remote on the sofa, stood up and walked towards him, her face glaring.

“So? Was it interesting? Was it fun doing it?” she asked, her eyes shooting daggers, her voice constricted, as if she’s forcing herself not to shout.

“What was?” he asked in bewilderment. He had no idea what in the world could he have done this time.

Mao, who was walking towards her stopped and pointed at the tv. “Kissing Masami! Tell me, was it really that great that it would be all over the news and the promotions?!”

Matsujun almost laughed out loud. So that was his fault, that scene he did for Wagaya with his co-star, Nagasawa Masami. The one the network had been using to promote their drama special.

But before he could say anything, Mao continued.

“It’s everywhere, it’s getting on my nerves! And Wagaya isn’t even a love story! It’s a family story! Why did they have to use that particular part of the drama to pump things up! They could have easily used any scene with the whole family together but no! they just had to use that clip! It’s really–”

Whatever Mao thinks the clip really is was cut short when Jun suddenly grabbed her by the waist and kissed her, long and deep. The kiss was so long that by the time they separated, they both had to gasp for air.

“What did you do that for?” she asked in an angry voice but they both knew she was no longer angry. Her eyes had already mellowed down.

Jun smiled and tightened his hold on her waist.

“That kiss was just for the show. You’re the only one I’d love to kiss over and over and over again…” he whispered before his lips bent down on hers and proceeded to prove with actions what he just stated in words.
